The Global Problem

Climate Change, Forest Fires, deforestation, species extinction are few problems faced globally which require everyone’s immediate attention.

Its Impact:

  • Once covering 14% of land on Earth, rainforests now make up only 6%. Since 1947, the total area of tropical rainforests has been reduced by more than half, to about 6.2 to 7.8 million square kilometres (3 million square miles). 
  • Biologists forecast that rainforests will lose 5-10% of their species each decade.

Such rapid habitat loss is due to the fact that 40 hectares (100 acres) of rainforest are cleared every minute for agricultural and industrial development.

Problem Statement

All over the world, forest depletion and loss of wildlife are disrupting the balance of the world we know.  Yet, we have access to less than 1% of information from inside rainforests
